About Barclay – Visit him in Ross on Wye!

Barclay has one wish for Christmas…his very own forever home. He is a very gentle boy (6 yrs old and weighs around 23kg) who has been waiting a long time for his family. He is currently enjoying lots of home comforts and a cosy bed in a loving foster home near Ross-on-Wye.
Barclay lives with lots of other dogs and gets on well with dogs of all shapes and sizes. He has even started to play with dogs of a similar size and temperament. He is very people friendly and happily lives with kind older children. He is submissive and doesn’t like loud noises so needs a calm patient family and would prefer to live with a friendly resident dog.
He is non-reactive out and about and is happy to meet new people and dogs but currently lives in a rural area so may need support getting used to busier areas. He can be left for short periods with the company of another dog but is not suitable for full time workers, unless they work from home. He loves his walks and currently goes for two good walks each day but is also happy to explore the garden and relax in his bed.
In his foster home he sleeps downstairs in the kitchen either with another dog for company or on his own and is toilet trained. He will need to be given time to settle into a new home. He also lives with cats and is good with them but would need further training outside (as he may chase) but is fine sitting on the sofa near them and is used to seeing them inside. He walks well on a lead but can get excited if he sees a squirrel or deer! He has been off lead in a secure field and always stays close.
Barclay is loving and gentle and deserves the best home. Please contact Lyn for details 01647 24378
