📸🐶🐾Friends of the Strays of Greece – Calendar 2025 Competition🐾🐶📸
We are delighted to announce that Liz and Steve Grayston have, once again, kindly offered to produce the 2025 calendar for us and invite everybody who has adopted a Friends of the Strays of Greece dog or cat to enter a free photo competition so that your dog/s and cat/s have the opportunity to become one of the main 12 pictures in the calendar. You can enter a maximum of 20 photographs per dog or cat, and you have from now until the deadline of 10pm on SUNDAY 23 JUNE to submit your photos.
Photographs should be of the BEST POSSIBLE QUALITY, and it is important that they are NOT CROPPED nor EDITED. It is also important that they are of YOUR CAT OR DOG ONLY AND DON’T INCLUDE PEOPLE.
Please send your photos, including your name and that of your dog/cat to Liz at the following email address by 10pm on SUNDAY 23 JUNE: [email protected].
Five independent judges will then choose their 20 favourite photos. Their choices will go forward to an independent final judge who will choose his/her final 12 photos – these will become the 12 months of the year in the calendar. Finally, after the 12 months of the year have been chosen, the 72 x £5 squares that surround the 12 main photos will go on sale. This guarantees your dog or cat appears in the calendar, and it also helps towards the printing costs.
We are really looking forward to seeing all your photos and would love some spring, summer, autumn, snow, Christmas and Easter entries. So, please get snapping and uploading so next year’s calendar is as spectacular as this year’s! Many thanks.
⭐️The CALENDAR SQUARES are going on sale FRIDAY at 7pm ⭐️
The squares surround the winning photo on each page, and they help pay the printing costs as well as giving everyone opportunity for their FOSOG dog or cat to appear in the calendar. We will have 70 x £5 squares to sell which will be on a first come, first served basis.
If you wish to buy a £5 square when they go on sale, please send an email with the number of squares you would like to purchase together with the photo/s you would like to appear in the square/s to Liz at [email protected]
• You may buy 1 square if you have one FOSOG dog, or 2 squares if you have two or more FOSOG dogs. You can of course double up on your dogs/cats (2 dogs in a square), which would mean you only need to buy one square.
• We really want to maximise the space to fit as many of our dogs and cats in as possible. Therefore, we ask that the lucky calendar comp winners refrain from buying a square for their winning dog who already has a place in the calendar (they can of course purchase a square for a second dog/cat or more).
• Each square costs £5 and if you are successful in reserving, you will receive an email telling you how to pay. Please then send your photo/s to Liz as quickly as possible, or you can of course use a competition photo of your choice – please just advise Liz which one/s.
